The Role
The firm has grown substantially over recent years, organically and via acquisition, and the BD & Marketing team continues to grow to support the firm’s ambitious plans. This is a very exciting time to be joining a dynamic team.
The nature of the work undertaken by the busy team ranges from delivering integrated marketing campaigns and engaging online content, to a programme of events for networking and business development, through CX initiatives to improve client service, and the analysis of data to establish ROI and inform future marketing and BD activity.
The Marketing Assistant/Apprentice will support the BD & Marketing team in their defined roles, implementing marketing and BD activity across all departments.
The role will be based out of our London Bridge office, but the successful candidate will be required to make occasional trips to our Streatham office where some fee earners are located.
Main responsibilities:Digital- Assist the Digital Marketing Manager to maintain an effective flow of website content;
- Upload content to the website such as blogs, articles, videos and podcasts;
- Follow SEO guidelines and best practices;
- Day-to-day management of the social media accounts for the firm;
- Caption-writing and scheduling of posts on platforms such as X, LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok;
- Organise photography and video production days;
- Compile stats for measurement e.g. engagement with socials, readership of blogs and articles, making use of Google Analytics and other AI tools.
Client Experience- Monitor client feedback platforms such as Trustpilot, Google Reviews and Review Solicitors;
- Coordinate responses to online reviews;
- Escalate any negative feedback, complaints or similar issues;
- Oversee the Instant Insights (client feedback) platform.
Events- Assist the Events & Design Exec with the execution of a busy events programme;
- Research venues and make room bookings for events,
- Collate mailings and RSVPs, organise catering, badges etc;
- Assist with the running of events on the day;
- This may require some working out of core hours.
Systems & Data- Assist the Systems & Data Executive to improve the firm’s use of data, systems and processes;
- Management of data sets e.g. segmentation of bought-in lists and data migration to new CRM;
- Cleanse and maintain the data in our systems e.g. deletion/archiving of “old” enquiries;
- Collate new work sources by department and help produce reports for management.
Communications – Internal and External- Assist the Comms Executive in the development of content and marketing campaigns;
- Help populate annual legal directory submissions;
- Draft outlines of blogs, guides and other resources using AI tools.
- Produce the firm’s monthly online staff newsletter, including chasing content and design of the magazine on Canva.
General- Populate and maintain the marketing calendars e.g. Events, Content, Social Media;
- Update and develop the marketing pages of the intranet;
- Research and order branded promotional items;
- Keep shared drives tidy;
- Manage invoices and maintain the budget tracker;
- Depending on experience and the needs of the department, there may be opportunities to work on defined projects and to take on responsibility for these.
